Just something to get this going. Here are a few pics of the area (51) around rachel nevada. I was "passing through" on my way to las vegas. (for those that have not "visited the area" there is no passers by it is in the middle of fuckin nowhere. I thought I had been to the middle of nowhere before but I hadn't until that trip.

I circumnavigated the entire base I went from ca to the north side at rachel and
then south to vegas. If you've never been go to rachel 1st and talk to the people at the cafe, they will tell you basic info and you can seen some panoramic arial photos of the lake. I didn't stay overnight at the trailer inn there but i'm sure if you did then you could get all kinds of info from them. Maybe even a guide over the hill, for enough $ anyway. NOTE: IF YOU DON'T HAVE DESERT SURVIVAL TRAINING DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO IN ALONE YOU WON'T MAKE IT! YOU WILL BE ARRESTED! AND YOU MIGHT DIE! I'M SERIOUS TAKE IT TO HEART!
