London Bridge is falling down.....

A certain degree of comfort is attained, the moment someone decides to stop caring entirely. When all things earthly and material, emotionally and psychologically profound, are given up to whatever forces wish to receive them. In that moment of clarity, you suddenly realize that you feel neither good nor bad, happy nor sad. You've acquired that state of mind, that allows you to feel absolutely nothing at all. You no longer have to drink to forget, and physical pain becomes merely a nuisence. Because, after a lifetime of hurt, what is one more scar, in the grand scheme of things?

We are much like the structures we forge out of metal and brick. We have a limited lifespan, and much like those structures, there comes a certain point in time, when it becomes impractical to continue repairing them. So we sit back, and let nature take its course. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

We are just like what we build.
