Not as heavy of a year or exploring as the last, was a great time when I did get out nonetheless. Met new people, saw new and old places, and took a crapload of photos despite a relative paucity of places I visited. Here's to 2024 for all.
Very nice church, a place I'd wandered around for most of my life but never knew what was inside, or that there was a way to see inside.

Varsity Theatre. Rolled up and talked to the workers ripping out the inside, they let us take a couple pics and my companion gave them a tip for the courtesy.

An overheated school that was achieved after getting jumpscared by neighbors coming home from work who proceeded to have a nice convo while we hugged concrete out of sight a meter or so away.

Miserable empty little powerhouse that was driven right up to after a harrowing, unfruitful day.

Sometimes you need to dive in every opening you see the first time you go to a place, otherwise you might return and find them all sealed. But you might find new openings!

The corn syrup factory! A complete random roadside find that was a fun 1hr wander.

A plant I felt let me down. In turn I let it down by dipping far earlier than I should have. Glad I stopped and shot it in the end.

A plant whose innards are slowly being picked apart, this panel disappeared not long after my visit. It claimed my longest-suffering pair of exploring shoes on the way in (2019-2023).

A solo return to a plant I had previously only seen with others. Got intimate with the innards to a point of nearly bugging out, quite a fun time.

First ever underground thing! Quite an awesome explore with some new people. Extremely stoned climbing down a long wiggly ladder made it feel 4x as long.

A plant well on the way to the end. We had just enough time to get our fill of oxy scars on a dismembered turbine before a police car showed up a couple lots over and made us run for it, when my shoes promptly untied themselves.

Cool quick scrabble around in St. Peters Sandstone, I love cave crickets.

About as quick of a plant explore you can have without things going wrong. Compact yet still checking off most of the boxes of a big one.

First drain, which turned out to be a sewer according to my companion. The odor wasn't as bad as I expected. Probably should have shot it more but I was skittish about my camera.

A roof that led to some goofy portraits.

 A second roof!

Revisit to a plant with the same people I had seen it the previous year, with some new additions. No trouble this time thankfully.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
