I thought you guys might enjoy this, we have a location in Ontario that has been abandoned for 30 years and is a rite of passage for many in the hobby.

I made my 4th trip this past weekend and every time I go I take a picture of the 2 sign-in boards (in 2018 I missed the 2nd board).

These pics are in order from 2012, 2018, 2020 and 2024.

Someone erased my name from 2018 sometime between 2018 and 2020, who TF does that??

BOARD #1

BOARD #2

Someone who clearly thinks they are better than you, but definitely aren't. They also likely travel with spray paint. That said, "Cursed Urbex" can blow a donkey.

Aren't we looking at two different blackboards?

If you were to put them together in some kind of animated gif, it might be possible to trace the changes better.

I know some think it's cheesy, but I always thought having a sign-in board was brilliant. Gives you an out-of-the-way place to gain recognition or join the community and leaves the rest of the place hopefully untouched.

Sign in boards or 'guestbooks' as we called them in the UK were the best, in a time before people wrote their dumb Instagram or Tiktok handles in sharpies everywhere or stuck even more dumb stickers advertising their dumb Youtube channels all over buildings.
