My first ever UE outing, found this place while doing some research online and decided to finally take some friends to see it. The drive was only about an hour from where I live, but it was well worth it. The winter weather (while absurdly cold) definitely gave the whole area a unique beauty.

The place looks a little far into the woods. Do you know what it was used for before it shut down? It looks like a youth camp or something similar.

If I remember correctly, It used to be a historical center. We talked to a waitress at a restaurant in the area and she told us that they used to do historical shows and reenactments and such before it closed down. It wasn't too far off the road but I'm sure the placement didn't do it any favors in attracting visitors.

Very cool! Would be a neat spot to film a movie scene.
