In my Year in Review post, I mentioned how one of the craziest locations I visited this year was a nightclub that had been turned into a rape factory. Female customers would be roofied and then taken to a VIP room where paying customers would have sex with their unconscious bodies. Also, one of the owners of the club was a member of a major K-pop group, a reminder that it might look soft and woke or whatever to Westerners, but it's actually an exploitative, industrialised industry that projects dominant patriarchal attitudes on meth. The club didn't survive the controversy, and it appears to have taken down the entire five-star hotel built over top of it as well.

Anyway, a friend expressed interest in seeing the location, so I figured it was time to go clubbing, and let womankind have her revenge.

1. When I checked in on it a week before, I was surprised to see scaffolding going up over the exterior, and workers crawling all over it. I took a gamble they wouldn't be working Christmas weekend.
