Every December, I try to arrange a visit to the Host Tunnel, where part of Bong Joon-ho's movie The Host was filmed on location. We skipped it last year regrettably, but I've returned twice this year.
1. First I returned with the
British Spider-Man.
2. We noticed there was some kind of construction work going on.
3. The tunnel is showing more graffiti these days.
4.
5.
6. There was more water than usual.
7. At one tunnel mouth, we spotted a grey heron.
8. Next visit, a bunch of people gathered in front of a major train station nearby.
9. But the tunnel mouth was filled with work trucks. I had scouted this out earlier and we went to another tunnel entrance upstream.
10. It's not as large, but it's a clean entry. Though it took quite a while for the whole group to get down this one ladder.
11. We entered the Bone Tunnel. One of the participants was a young kid, who was there with his two parents, both who have done this before.
12. Turns out this kid really likes fire.
13. Water, not so much.
14. Banjo time.
15.
16. Oh crap, a real monster!
17. Yes, we still do this.
18. Workers were still at the riverside entrance, so we had to escape back the way we came.
