This is the EXACT type of migraines I get ever since I was hit in a vehicular accident. My side of head was gonged off the door frame of my car and scrambled some of my brain like eggs!
Ever since then it's an ongoing battle to circumvent them.
Christmas lights in malls can trigger them. Bright lights, flickering florescent lighting, high humidity and barometric pressure also can contribute to them
Soon as I get that blurry "flicker" I KNOW one is about to eff up my vision and I race to find my extra strength Advil to counter it. If Iam not speedy enough getting one down the gullet...BOOM!! I cannot see right and the "colours" begin in one eye gradually moving across both then the intense pain that follows is enough to bring me to my knees. I absolutely hate it when one that isn't caught in time and subsequently screws my vision. If this happens while at work it makes it VERY difficult to do my job as I work predominately on computers. All I want to do at that point is lay down with eyes closed. I feel sick to my stomach sometimes too.
If it happens and I do not have any Advil sometimes highly caffeinated drink like coffee or tea may help ease them or even a chocolate bar. These do not always work however. Putting pressure between my thumb and fore finger can sometimes help.
I feel ya 100% on this !!
I want to get that peppermint oil and have that on hand. I never heard of that before.
