Earlier me and my brother found our first bando that still had power on. It was a little house on the property of what used to be a waste management company. We walked around inside for a little and i noticed that there was a humming noise coming from the small refrigerator... after that we started fliping switches and turning things on and sure enough, the whole house had power still! the look on my brothers face was priceless haha.

Certainly not the most insane location to still have power, but it was pretty awesome regardless. I'd love to see photos and hear stories of places you guys have found with power! post away below.

I've had a few, but mostly during infiltration type stuff. One time I found an underpass that seemed like it had been abandoned with three of four entrances sealed off and the fourth one turned into a hatch in the road. It still had electricity, and I thought about trying to bring a band down there but never did.

A couple Christmases ago, I bought a portable power supply, so that if we find any appliances at abandonments, we can power them up. It's been done so far once with an abandoned stereo, but I have a few more places in mind.

My first exploration was an abanoned school with heat and power, the only light was one in the basement but the heat was amazing, after a few drinks and a nice sesh, climing down into the building off of the roof was so nice. If the building didn't have heat we probably wouldn't have spent as much time in the building as we did. Man I love that place.

I've done quite a few spots that still had power, some understably so being so fresh and others that really shouldn't have still had power being fed to them like this one.

Few years ago, I explored a steel mill where even the computers in the control room were still running few years after the place had been closed. Some of the heavy machinery was also operational and you could take a joy ride with a portal crane.

Dude, the portable power supply is such a cool idea! There’s been so many things I’ve wanted to mess with but obviously couldn’t due to lack of power. Is there a specific one you recommend?

Ours is from a company called NextU I can't find a website for. It's a little larger than a brick and pretty heavy. I think the term for these is power banks. Most of the ones commercially available seem to be for phone charging only.

I did something similar in an enormous military base with their mobile controlled gantry cranes that were still working, we might have winched a chair up into the air using them.

One of my first ever locations still had power, which is odd because it was one of those places that really shouldn't have had power flowing through it. It was an old farmhouse that had been abandoned and completely neglected for at least 50 years. The walls were falling apart, mice had made nests in the walls & drawers, all of the wiring was made of decaying fabric and for some insane reason, the place still had power. It was untouched to the point of there being decades-old food in the fridge, which was somehow still running. Sadly, I don't have any photos, but the place is a serious fire hazard. I can't believe the town hasn't done anything about it. Even if the owner still pays the electricity bill, there must be some laws that prevent you from running power through a building that is hasn't been maintained for fifty years. The fact that it's in the middle of the woods makes matters worse. It was cool to experience such an old location with functional lights, but I'm really worried that it'll start a forest fire at some point.

My first exploration, abandoned school in town. We would chill on the roof, drink some beers, smoke a few bowls, get cold and come back into the heated building. It was weird because this school is not intact whatsoever. Gutted and stripped to the bones. I love that place. My parents went to elementary there. I didn't realize i posted to the thread twice lmao my apologies.

Being honest nothing unusual depends on what state it is in. Could have just been forgotten about with low cost involved. Been in a number of places with Power heating and lighting still on. Makes taking pictures easier, just hate it when your in a place where light are motion activated !

Not gonna lie, after seeing the paranormal thread then reading the title "Locations with Power" I thought people would be in here talking about ley lines and Stonehenge.

I've got a thing for spots with power. My second spot I ever did was a grain freight terminal with some flickering buzzing lights inside of it, and I knew it added extra charm. I'd say a good 40-50% of the spots I do now have power. Helps when there is visible natural decay in the building, but honestly I still love spots that look like someone would be clocking in the next morning. Active spots too, maybe even more IMO.

I just slipped into a building with a bar that was closed unfairly a little over a week ago, only to find the place still had power, and also the water was still working. So I took a dump, and flushed it.

taking a shit in spots with running water is so fun!

once upon a time some friends and I were in a gutted factory that used to make lamps, the location had been boarded up for ten plus years. It was a three story structure that was cleared out on the first two floors and most of the third. as we moved towards the office area at the rear of the building we noticed a faint light coming from under one of the doors. The following pics are what we found inside.

There's a few abandoned department stores near me with power, but I'm always paranoid about security cams or other sensors at places like that. Iv been caught on cams before and it sucks for you if security rolls up
