Now that the city is able to demolish the Packard Plant, I don't assume it will be any easier for people to access the buildings. I'd known about the 90 day deadline for demolition beforehand, which is why I'd came on this nice day. I also met several other people, who were probably exploring for the same reason. I've previously been in the building in this post https://www.uer.ca...urrpage=1&pp#post0.

Instead of driving around I'd go by foot, because I assumed there would be security now that light was being shone on the blight sight.

This is interesting, one of the tenants used old plastics to replace the windows. I see some Pepsi and 'Ocean-Spray' in there.

Here I took a photo atop the torn-up floor of building 92, which was demolished a few years ago. This is on the far south end of the building.

I'm sure those stairs lead down to the basements & tunnels...

These buildings are really just completely empty. There were a few remnants like the rings that held piping above, and the torn-up planks of the old floor.

Here is the southernmost court of the building. It also has the last intact chimney still attached to it.

This is a nice photo above the remaining sheds that the last occupant, a chemical company, was using.

I think this was a kind of drainage system that used to be encased by some machine.

Here is a photo at the base of the water tower, a lot it going on here. There are some of the last cable brackets on the right, and a two-story bridge in the back.

There is the middle-ground, between the southern buildings and the northern ones. The next couple photos are at this building.

I was right, around here I saw the security guy who didn't have much to say, he had seemed exhausted from telling everyone else the same thing.

This may be the only spiral staircase I've seen at any building in detroit, usually someone takes them to sell, but this one has roof access.

Atop this building is a metal shed, I do not have any idea as to the purpose of this mechanism.

I didn't feel like being caught climbing the fence at the front of the property, so I took to the railroads under the bridge that used to connect to one of two Packard buildings that were demolished by Detroit in 1999.

From the administration building, you can see every building. Because this particular structure sticks out just enough, so that it has a entry tunnel connecting the road to 'Packard Ave.' you have the widest view.

This was the first time seeing a loading bay in the factory, I guess I never thought that the plant would have any loading docks installed.

One other metal chimney that had fallen into a huge mess of a collapse, finally fell out and into one of the former court spaces. I think that destroyed area was photographed by visitors back in the early 2010's.

I didn't notice this sign painted on the second floor last time I was here, I assume it was part of a store that had been encased in the three-story room.

An other photo showcasing a newer collapse. The floor seems to be made of a hollow clay tiled-brick, so not that surprised that these parts experienced more damage than others.

Here, that collapsing mess seen from a different building.

I climbed up the collapsing mess, the space was insane. Literally, in this shot you can see right through building 5, that seven story tower. Nobody ever found a way to summit it after the fire.

Finally, the ramp structure, it is an other one of Packard's odd buildings; the windows go up with the ramp. All of the cable brackets were looted, only the rusty attachments mark where they were. The building used to be a parking lot for a paintball company.

Here is the weird staircase that had to be built to fit in, because the ramp goes in at an angle so the cars could turn.

There is our water tower from the very start of the urbex. Judging by the height of these trees, they may be anywhere from 20 to 35 years old?

Here's a place I didn't notice first trip round, it's a two story concrete room, I've already taken way too many photos that day. I'd also seen an exterior staircase somewhere.

The Palmer St. bridge was sloppily demolished sometime in 2020, probably to make the plant look worse. This is what East Grand Blvd looks like now.

It was fulfilling to explore the building once again and get a second chance to look around.

Great work, this post inspired me to get my ass down there and spend a few hours shooting Packard, so thanks.

I went two weeks ago and shot from about 5:30 until about 30 mins past sunset

I think a lot of people will regret not going if it gets demolished. It's an impressive ruin that's filled with history.

I thought I'd just add to this post instead of making my own. I took 100'd of pics in 4 hours, let's see if I can whittle it down to 10?

Okay there are 10, but here's 2 bonus pics from the tunnels!
