I really enjoy these year end threads. Thanks everybody for posting.

This year has been really good. I've tried to generalize a lot more and explore anything and everything. I'm still really into turbines and anything to do with the second industrial revolution though, so there's a lot of that too!

1)Started out the year in this underground power canal system

2. Dye House #1

3. A little train awaiting restoration

4. ??? idk fuck this place

5.State School #2

6. Head house - There's a rope up the back, but not much else to do. Just thought it was neat

7.Paper mill #1

8. The Superintendent's personal motor car. At state expense ofc

9. State Sanatorium

10. I couldn't have done this without my good friend. It was the night before demolition started on one of the last buildings at my favorite State Hospital and we were in and out without a hitch.

11. A very old belt driven mill

12. These ruins are known for their monolithic arches

13. There were three huge turbines in this wheel house, but they were all under water

14. The remains of an 1860's out-ward flow turbine -very rare

A newer turbine, same wheel pit

15. Utility truck inside a boiler plant

16. Water Tower

17. Hospital Coal Plant - same spot

18. Two turbines with cylinder gate control mechanisms

19. Gun factory

20. Boiler plant

21. Woolen mill #1

22. Colonial mine with a terrifying entrance

23. R&D

24. Little admin #1

25. The oldest mill in town

26. Little admin #2

27. Carriage repair shop

28. Graffiti bank

29. This is the entrance to my Super Secret Urbex Bunker and you can only find the password on my free angel fire web page

30. Fortress wheel house

31. A revisit from last year. This is one of my favorite turbines

32. Once, this was the only power plant in town, but the water wheel is an aesthetic choice all the same

33. The breast mounted water wheel is a type of impulse turbine

34. There was like fifty vertical feet of water pressure inside this thing

35. Paper mill #2

36. 1890's mine

37. Round house and coal tower

38. All the boring parts burned down. Now all that is left are the cool turbo generators with the exposed runners

39. Future techno dystopia

40. Sleeping over with the cave crickets. You wanna know a secret? I like them

41. Boat hospital

42.

43.

44. Thread mill

45. Barge wreck

46. Factory coal plant

47. I scouted this mall out one night. When I came back a few weeks later, half of it was gone

48. One of the biggest turbine pressure cases I've ever seen

49. Foundry

50. Thousand Islands mill bridge

51. Paper mill #4 - The hidden turbine

52. This place is between five and seven times as spicy as it looks

53. ABANDONED doll house!!!! BODY FOUND INSIDE!!!

54. My sincere apologies

55. A couple summer camps

56. Pump house

57. Muddy tail races. I did not find any turbines

58. State School #2

59. This vocational school was so fresh there were movers around back emptying the building

60. Ocean Island Resort

61. State Hospital

62. Back country turbine

63. Blood bags still packed with serum - Sanatorium ruins

64. The Talking Turbine - What will it tell you?

65. Turbines with wicket gates

66. Vacuum bottle factory

67. Woolen mill #3

68. Straw Board Factory

69. Wycoff Docks

70. Thirst Congregational Church

71. Downtown

72. Religious secrets

73. The river runs beneath it

74. Empire company

75. Tiny Courtyard Office

76. Quarry

77. Dye House #2

~~Thanks for looking~~

Lol. I'm sensationalizing. I found it in a back ally behind an abandoned -or maybe just disused- factory. I really wanted to take it home and fix it up a little, but it looked to fragile to carry the couple of blocks back to my car

You've had a great year. So many excellent turbines!
The water tower in 16 I especially love. Such great architecture for a structure that's so common and utilitarian today.

Fucking love the amount of old pre WW industrial and other places you've shot here. So much of that kind of stuff has been demolished down here it's refreshing to see.
