I'm in new orleans area for work tonight and have an idea about a few massive locations that are not listed in the database even with checking a friends full member account. I'm wondering is there anyone in new orleans area that might be down to explore tonight and take some sick shots? I love doing lightpainting so on the off chance someone sees this in time please DM for my contact info. Hope to meet somone cool! I also have a car and can drive mostly wherever I just need to be back in houma before to late. I'd be down to meet somewhere first to make sure we could talk and all that before we even go to locations.

I would have taken you up on this if you'd gotten there about three weeks earlier. My car died out there so I ended up stuck for a week and also had to drive back out there to get my car back!

Hopefully you came across some fellow explorers and/or some interesting locations!

I did not meet anyone, but I said fuck it and found some absolute insane places. My favorite was an overgrown civil war fortress!

Civil war fortress? Damn, I must’ve missed that one! I’d love to see you start a thread with pics of your adventure!

About to post some right now as well as ask if anyone is in the San Francisco area as I would love to do the same again out there, I know they also have insane locations!

Fort Ord still has some interesting parts if you have time to drive a couple hours south. There is also another smaller federal location not too terribly far from Ord (I’d rather PM that one though if you’re interested).

Ord won’t be around much longer I don’t think. It’s getting razed a lot faster now, sadly. If anyone here has been meaning to check it out but hasn’t made the time yet, you’d better be quick about it:
