Back in October I spent a day wandering off trail through a nearby state forest in search of an abandoned meditation retreat originally found by JennyUE a couple months prior. At least we think it was a meditation retreat of some kind. It's kind of hard to say, though the architecture definitely feels spiritual if that makes any kind of sense.
The entire building was one hall, dominated by a massive central hearth that served as the focal point of the room.

This broken skylight provided natural light to the center of the structure. In fact, I didn't really notice many if any electric lights at all.

This used to be a water feature of some kind with a pool at the top that let a stream of water flow down the rocks into the smaller catch basin at the bottom, presumably to create a soothing ambience with the burbling flow of water.

Though small it was a very pretty building with unique architecture and some nice photo opportunities.
