Actually I just forgot my login info. Seems its been a couple years since I posted anything. These are all from 2019, I only got 1 really decent explore done in 2020 Devils Tower down in WA with a local explorer I met there. That said 2021 is definitely looking up, pandemic aside.
Trip to upstate New York "The Pines" a former Jewish holiday resort. I went to visit a couple online exploring friends.
This is a hospital in the upstate area near Binghamton NY.
Chicken slaughter house also in the area.
Moving forward to summer 2019, I hit 3 personal ue holy grails. I traveled to NYC, then crossed the puddle to France. I hit a 4th bucket list site that could be ue but is a national historic site in the south of France Oradour-sur-Glane The Village of Martyrs.
On Long island Kings Park Psychiatric. Funny story one of my friends from upstate was supposed to join but bailed at the last minute. Its a big place so felt safer to bring someone. I met an auzzie at the hostel I was staying at in West Chelsea asked him if he wanted to join, he did. As we were wrapping up the main building and planning to hit the quad in the distance, well we got busted, long story short. We both pulled out our passports mine Canadian his Australian, he turned his auzzie up to 11 "Oi g'day mate". The cops were like WTF?! just go away please. So off we went, hopped the train back to the city.
Freedom tunnel, getting in not so hard although it is an active amtrax tunnel. Had no idea how I was going to get out, ended up finding a side exit and emerging back into the light. Pretty sure I saw evidence of voids people were living in. I didn't look to hard into it as I didn't want to disturb someones home.
Some trains flew by while I was in there, I just squatted down and pretended I was a garbage bag.
France, The catacombs.
The castle room, I brought candles for lighting. Make no mistake the catacombs are a very extreme environment. Its wet, often you are near waste deep in water, much of the walls consist of limestone. There is no wifi or any cell signal, it is very easy to get lost. The cataphiles move fast so you are at a jog/run most of the time because you are covering some vast distances. I was lucky to be with an experienced crew, but even then we had some where the fuck are we moments.
The cataphiles.
The giant room.
The jenga room.
The throne room.
Hope you are all well and staying healthy during these difficult times. Keep exploring.
