Back in June I went to Detroit to explore a curious factory, as in these were the remains of the old Continental Motors plant. This specific building was used to test motors, so that's why there is an abundance of vents on the "roof."

If you haven't been here in a while, there is a hole in the fence to go through.

The hallways of rooms where they tested the motors.

These are the odd vents I was talking about.

The boiler building, just a bunch of bricks now.

I don't know how much force they used to take out that wall here, but that was a huge hole.

A two-story room.

Very precariously stacked sacks. There are a few across the bottom floor.

Empty machine mounts.

These might have been basins for washing things.

Now we're on top of the testing rooms. The roof is gone now, and it stinks like tar and rubber. This was a fun place to walk around.

Counterweights to hold open the triangular vents.

At the very top. Those ladders are pretty sketchy.

This looks like a cool place. Too bad the machinery weren't left behind. I bet that would have been cool to see. But nice pics!

Righteous! Love me a bombed out Detroit location.

These are my favorite types of places, it's like a whole compound. A whole little confined world. Love em. Nice pics.

We're new here and to the forum scene in general, any etiquette pointers are appreciated. Stay scary!
