"Stray" has a bit of an exploration/abandonment thing going on.

Also, BeamNG is so neat I might actually consider purchasing a PC.

BeamNG is so good, sometimes you just want to simulate a high speed highway chase ending in a disastrous, physics-based crash. The jungle rock island map has random ass bandos and other various sites scattered everywhere. But overall gotta be one of the best sandbox games out there.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to play some pathetic simulation of urbex when you could do the real thing in the real world.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to make fun of people's hobbies on a forum when you could do the real thing in the real world.

One could ask why you are HERE on an online forum about UE when you could be out exploring it in real life. I mean, you have shared SO MUCH with this forum, you are clearly a god among the experienced explorers here. I don't know how you even found time to login to this virtual world to share your opinion and mock those who don't perfectly align with your world.

Okay, I'm not much of a gamer, but ended up with a nice gaming PC and downloaded Stray. It's basically UE but with a cat.

The map has released on the workshop for those who don't want to install manually:

Day version: https://steamcommu...ils/?id=2958334539
Night version: https://steamcommu...ils/?id=2958773873

Unfortunately requires CS:GO and HL2 or some textures will be missing.

If I can add one, The Long Drive.

You wake up in a post apocalyptic world, with a randomly generated shitheap of an old car that doesn't run. (There are 15 or so options, mostly communist Eastern European stuff)

You need to get it going by collecting fuel, oil, coolant, parts (tires, body panels, etc). Some cars are aircooled, some are 2 stroke, some are liquid cooled 4 stroke normal stuff. Most of this stuff can be found by going through abandoned buildings (houses, garages, gas stations, mansions, etc). Sometimes there are zombies and killer rabbits, so there are also weapons and ammo to be found.

You can find other cars and parts along the way and change up your car to something else you find along the way, or stick with your original car and fix it up as you go (Like I did, for uhhh... reasons). Cars consume fuel and oil, tires blow, etc. It's really neat.
