This location was one that I have seen a quite a few images of over the years. I always used to marvel at what a wonder it was these places even existed. For the longest time this was my dream explore. I had been meaning to see it since highschool, but never had enough info/ planning or people that knew how to go about it. Also most recent info reveals it is more risky than most locations and I was not sure it was even accessible.
Finally after going deep into Urbex over the last two years, and letting this location slip my mind, I had found a guide. With the help of mainly Triangulum, and some Advise from other users on the site, the date was set. They had been before and knew the best way to minimize risk.
The experience getting to the location really added to the ambiance of this location. There is nothing like walking through remote fields in the middle of the night in complete darkness. Using just the stars for light and watching as distant storms blow in overhead.
This place was very trashed (as expected),but even with the crazy amounts of graffiti these silos are still a sight to behold. Spending many hours inside was not enough to see nearly all of it, and I only managed a few photos.
We used up to 5 flashlights, lanterns, and for the fun a bit of wool to illuminate the rooms. It was still so massive the photos do not do it justice.
My 16mm lens was not wide enough to capture the main silo room, and for this photo I had to climb down onto a metal ventilation duct that was only a few inches above water.
