I don’t know if any of you have seen a video circulating around Facebook but it’s called PLANDEMIC it was made by a virologist working under Anthony Fauci, her name is Judy Mikovits and she has come forward to say this WHOLE Coronavirus pandemic was planned and that there are US And Europe patents on Coronavirus and a cure for Coronavirus since as early as 2006 or 2008 I forgot. Every time someone shares it on fb myself included, it gets taken down and YouTube is the same way. I don’t know how true it is but what I do know is that if it was fake news, it would be plastered everywhere but if it keeps getting taken down.. I believe that says something.

It's absolute horseshit from start to finish.

For one, she never worked with Fauci in any capacity. She didn't even work for the same institute. She's held a one-sided vendetta against Fauci for years because she holds him responsible for some 'cover-up' that saw the her 'blockbuster' paper on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome retracted. Rather than doing the honest thing and admit she fucked up after various labs across the country as well as her own were unable to replicate the findings the paper came to, she decided instead to go full on conspiracy nutcase.

The 'arrest for no reason' accompanied by footage of an unrelated SWAT raid on a random property was actually because she stole equipment and notes from the research laboratory after her paper was retracted.

That is only the tip of the iceberg of the amount of lies and easily debunkable nonsense she spews in that video.

She is a fringe anti-vaxxer nutcase and should not be getting all this attention. The reason it keeps getting taken down from Facebook and Youtube is it promotes ideas and viewpoints that can cause immediate harm - namely the crazy idea that somehow wearing masks spreads the virus more.

I will admit I did watch the video and at this point I watch anything and everything with caution, because there is and always will be so much fake media always circulating that you’ll never know what’s really real, so I take everything with a grain of salt, but I just wanted to see some opinions on the video and if people have seen/heard of it

There are a lot of exploring opportunities at former USFK sites,

Camp Castle is maybe 20km from the DMZ and I think it's mostly closed now.

Korea is definitely an eye opener.

The ROK soldiers training and daily life is brutal.

It was my observation that privileged families could get their kids in KATUSA which is a walk in the park compared to what the ROK soldiers deal with.

Yeah, conscription is no joke. KATUSAs still have the most coveted jobs, and some are qualified while others are just rich kids who can't even speak English. My boss was a KATUSA and he has a very colourful personality now.

The USFK is on lockdown right now due to viruses, and there've been a couple incidents with conscripts showing up for boot camp with coronavirus.

I think Castle is gone, returned to Korea and redeveloped, but we have a list of other bases that are worth visiting or we're keeping our eyes on, including a bunch in central Seoul.

Well Boris said his thing, and not much has changed. The social distancing restrictions are still in place unsurprisingly. However from Wednesday anyone who can go into work as they cannot work from home should - provided the company can operate safely within the social distancing guidelines. This is a good move because anything to help restart some other sectors of the economy is needed, and also it's good for people who are potentially unsure of their futures.

Exercise restrictions have also been eased slightly, we're now allowed outside for as long as we like provided we adhere to the social distancing guidelines which is great, as it's a vital thing for people's mental health currently.

There was also a colour coded alert thing set out for the current status of the virus and how it will affect restrictions and stuff going from green to red - green (1) meaning the virus is no longer a threat to the population and red (5) meaning there's an imminent possibility of the NHS being overwhelmed. Currently we're at level 4, nudging down into level 3.

The longer term aim is to reopen primary schools on June 1st but only for certain year groups. By July 1st certain social activities will be allowed again, and by August 1st restaurants and pubs can be opened provided it's safe to do so and they comply with whatever social distancing measures need to be kept going. All of this is dependent on the infection rate of the virus being kept low enough that it's safe to do so.

Honestly if it hadn't been for this extended time off work and school I may have never found time to dedicate to exploring. I've been trying to get out and explore everyday and I don't plan to stop until I have to. The biggest issue around here is that a few people have had the same idea as me. All I see anymore on social media is people going to the more well known locations around here. Most of them won't take the time to look very hard for unique places but the obvious ones are getting trashed.

Some of the establishments the disease spreader visited were gay bars, so the churches are having a field day.

This sounds like a fine example of selective memory at work, or the, 'pot calling the kettle black (i.e. hypocrites).' After all, your first wave started in a giant church gathering, didn't it?

Meanwhile in Mexico City, the bodies are piling up.

Having been to a funeral in Mexico, I'll just say it's an eye opener.

Edit to fix huge picture.

Our traditional destination for family reunions since the 1970s has been Bermuda.

There are no scheduled flights to or from Bermuda and of course, no cruise ships. The Royal Naval Dockyard where the larger ships dock is a ghost town.

There's a charter flight to the island tomorrow returning 86 Bermudians back home and to evacuate any remaining foreigners left on the island.

There are lot of folks like Genie that have had their livelihood completely evaporate.

Edot: huge pic again.

It was a cult, bible-based but worshipping an elderly dude who calls himself the Promised Pastor. Mainstream Christian churches hate him about as much as they hate gay people. But churches in general were the focus of the first wave, so this is sort of their comeuppance.

Over the past week, the repercussions have been widespread. Turns out most of the nighclubs visited were gay (although one other is straight and Korean-only). A lot of people who were there don't want to come forward, so the government has been trying to offer them anonymous free testing while also looking at cellphone data. Also some luxury fashion stores are rumoured to be firing their male employees for fear they're gay and infected.

Some of the infected were foreigners (as it is a foreign district, and Christians like to say homosexuality is a foreign concept brought in by Westerners), so a lot of scrutiny has begun on foreign English teachers here. One of them was an American who was violating his visa by teaching some students at their homes. He spread the infection to some of his students who spread it to family members.

I'm just trying to resist cravings for foreign foods that would send me into the area.

Wisconsin's Supreme Court ruled the stay at home order unconstitutional yesterday afternoon, effective immediately. Within hours bars were filled with patrons all over the state. It's been described as a "wild west," with complete disregard for social distancing or even wearing masks.

We're so fucked.

Sometimes survival has to take a backseat to freedom. Anyway, welcome to the second wave. It's a lot like the first wave, except everyone's a lot more worn down.

I don't think there's going to be a bigger second wave in parts of the States. It'll just be one massive continuous wave and six months from now people will be looking at a desolate wasteland wondering 'how did this happen?'.

I have to agree with this. In PA nobody was even following the stay at home orders. A buddy of mine who works at a pizza shop told me that they hav huge orders for people throwing "quarantine parties".

I'm also getting really sick of people saying that this is communism as if this has anything to do with politics.

I think you’re right. Even I’m feeling an itch to move around and break the rules we need to follow but concerns for my job place and the impact I could have by doing that are keeping me still

My parents, and to a more-severe-degree, my father... are in the vulnerable groups. I am terrified for them. Living some 600 miles away, I can't do much to directly safeguard their health aside from remotely sourcing hard-to-come-by essential supplies for them and getting them set-up with systems (eg. Instacart) that minimizes their exposure to society-at-large... but they are my motivation to shelter-in-place with the most conscientiousness possible.

I can only hope (against observation of how human behavior really works) that others there would do the same in indirect protection of faraway loved ones they have to rely on faraway society to protect. That's all I can do.

You are now required to wear a mask if you go into Menard's*.

If you don't have one, they'll gladly sell you a paper mask for a dollar.

I opted to go to Lowe's instead.
