Missile Test Site
entry by inloc

Up until the 1970s, the site was used for testing the conditions ICBMs would be placed under during re-entry. No ICBMs themselves were launched here – instead, a custom testing vehicle was utilized.

The site has seen better days; a large chunk of it appears to have been demolished. What remains is mostly the launch area, though some auxiliary structures still remain.
