Random abandoned house; Door County WI

Upon entering, it was clear it was only semi-abandoned. Someone owns and uses it, I would assume as a hunting cabin. It definitely is not climate controlled, maintained, or lived in. After seeing the note on the table, I felt guilty about even being in there. But was at least comforted in the fact that I did nothing but take pictures, and no one would ever have known I was there. And after all, the note didn't say leave - it said "clean up"
and "close doors". I did not see any bats, but did help a trapped bird find his way out.

What say you? The first thing you see is the note in pic 29. Do you continue to have a look around, or do you leave?

I love little houses like this. It feels like a little slice of Americana

I would of definitely kept on looking and taking my pics. Sounds like the people didnt care if you took something, stayed the night, or looked around.. just clean up and close the doors so animals wouldn't come in and die in there.
Love the old washing machine and frig/frrezer...And, that the oldest pair of dryers i have ever seen. Good find.

The basement appliances were awesome! Everything from back in the day look so heavy-duty and industrial. While technology has greatly improved, I miss the "beef" of the old days...

Thanks! There was a poor birdie in that room beating himself against the walls trying to get out. He let me pick him up eventually, undoubtedly frozen with fear, and I was able to toss him out a window. He flew and flew and flew as far as I could see him, in a straight line far away from there!
