Abandoned mansion full of personal stuff - How's that possible? < on 3/5/2017 5:31 PM > | Reply with Quote
We didn’t expect that: When we entered this place we were surprised how much stuff was still there. Tons of boxes were filled with personal items. These objects were even blocking whole rooms we couldn’t enter on account of this. How is something like that possible??? We heard about several places with similar situations...

A lot of the time when places like this are found it is due to the last resident becoming a hoarder and either the property ending up in a prolonged legal battle over the will, or no will at all and no beneficiaries being found which can leave places like this abandoned for a long time.

In my neighborhood there was a house that stood empty and full of stuff for a year, because there was a divorce and it was disputed who would get the house. Maybe it's something like that, or a will, like Mookster said.
