Hello fellow Urban Explorers!
I am new to this website and this looks like a really badass place for fellow Urban Explorers. We have just started an Abandoned Exploration group in Texas, we are a friendly group and you can check out our videos/places we have explored through our Youtube channel below! I don't want to embed everything on the thread here.

Our Videos/Youtube Channel: https://www.youtub...XvNR5nRn2Q45Dh3FzA

We would love your guys support by Subscribing to us, to follow us around on these cool abandoned places we will go too in the future, all of our videos will be posted there so all fellow explorers or people that love to watch/experience this can follow us whereever we go.

We are based in Texas (we might start recruiting people if you are interested) and we are planning to go to many more badass places! If anyone has any questions or anything, feedback on our videos, feel free to ask me, we are willing to answer anything to our fellow explorers! This is my introduction to the site and I'm looking forward to meeting new people here/giving a warm welcome to a fellow explorer! Thanks.

I wish I'd seen this last month, I would have PM'd you. I was in your area (got to see the dealership, power plant, the rest of the seminary, and a couple other spots I missed last time).
I noticed you did a video on baptist university. I stumbled across that place less than a week before it burned and I'm kicking myself for not making the time to see it! It was being prepped for demo though it looked like. Cool videos and welcome to UER! You being a fellow Texan is just a bonus.

There's a decent chance that we know some of the same people judging from your video locations...

BTW, I'm not too close but not too far either - Dallas/Fort Worth.
Come visit us sometime!

*Edited because I'm a grammar nazi.

I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their views.

Hey Ash! We are all a very friendly group and we would have welcomed you anytime with open arms to join us! Yes, all those places are familiar with us, I have some crazy stories too, but would prefer to talk in person about that. But if you ever come down here, feel free to message me and you can join up with us anytime and capture some badass exploration footage!

We are currently making our newest episode (exploration) right now, we just got back from it, I think you will like it too.

The Baptist was a cool place overall, we liked it, alot of "stuff" is still in there in these random rooms lol. But hey, we love that kind of stuff.

Thanks for welcoming me/us, everyone on here seems really awesome! Again, if you come down here, let me know and we can check out some places. But, until than, I will try to finish our newest exploration that we just finished and I hope you like it when it comes out! Hopefully mid week.

Thanks Ash and everyone!

Yesss!! At night, this place is amazing!

I just finished with a new exploration, I will try to finish it this week so stay tuned for that!

It took me a while to get my whole camera setup fully complete, but now, I love recording with it, especially when you have all your pieces there with ya.

So, I've been wanting to ask someone that does a lot of film this question for a while now... You seem like a good candidate.
How different/hard is it to learn how to do the cinematography if you're already really comfortable with a camera but have never actually done video.
I'm just curious, I've never really had a lot of interest in shooting video except on a few rare occasions when a situation almost demanded it.
Sometimes in hindsight, I'll think to myself; "damn, I wish I'd done that in video!"
I have a camera that is, from what I've heard, a great camera for making videos, so it almost seems a sin that I've never shot one video on the damn thing (Sony A7rII)

Probably learning to use the editing software and learning of the little intricacies of film, such as getting those perfect angles in shots and knowing not only how to find those breathtaking shots, but also how to use them to tell a story or set the scene.

Hell, you've probably got a pretty good head start, already being comfortable with a camera and all.

Hey Ash! I think you are a step-ahead of the game if you are comfortable with the camera! It took me a while to get comfortable with mine haha, so I think you should not have any problems, but try to know your camera 100% so you know when to "adjust" your camera settings in different setting enviroments.

The other "difficult" task in my opinion (computer savy helps alot) is messing with software and trying to link the videos with modifications through the software.

It took me a while to finally learn all this, but hey, you seem pretty cool... if you are ever in town here, I can show you how I do my setup with the camera videos and how I use some software to change what I want for a published/finalized video for youtube at the highest quality.

But overall, once you know all that, it is easy peezy, just might take a while if you are completely new and don't know what all of that stuff is. But I am here to help if you need anything!
