This isn't Cosson Hall, but rather, one of the other buildings in that whole area.

A friend took me out here around October on a pleasant weekend afternoon. Getting in was a fun experience, we took the hard way in and discovered an easier way out.

My friend was telling me about a run-in with private security during a previous outing here, but we didn't encounter anyone else that day besides some street fashion photographers doing their thing outside.

I'm still not sure exactly what we wondered around, there were many different rooms with various themes; a classroom, machine shops, office spaces with reception, some bedrooms. Great opportunity to explore a lot of different things.

If anyone has any more history about the place, I'd love to hear more about it.

Sorry for the lack of photos, I've deleted many of the photos taken at the place and archived only a handful of them since this was a while ago. It certainly does not do the numerous sights justice.

@matis: Thank you!
@cambrianguy: These buildings are actually not in the link's 3D models, but very cool nonetheless.

Better quality photos:

I love these shots! I had a little history about these houses/barracks. I actually got in touch with a sailor who used to live on treasure island back when cosson hall was still up and running. I got really interested in the place when i visited and wanted to learn more about it so I also went to the national archives library here in SF. So basically the island was turned into a military base and cosson hall was where the men slept, and sage hall, the one next to it, was where the women slept, bunkers basically. The island was full of other buildings like the one you went into, they even had a bowling alley (abandoned now, you should check out if you're ever on treasure island again) for fun activities and such. They couldn't really leave the island so the entire half of the island was turned into a tiny city for the navy sailors. You probably came across a school or office building.
