| Tonight, my buddy and I decided to hit up the Asylum in northville, even thought we knew it was going to rain a little bit. My friend had wanted to try a new way in, he said he brought the map, but I think you can guess what happened(he didn't bring it).
Imagine that there's woods, probably about 2 square miles of woods in between the asylum and where we parked. Now like sensible explorers idiots, we went charging headlong into the forest, no phones, no compass. It was 9:30 pm.
After quietly making our way under a fence and about 1 1/2 miles in, we see a giant flash of light followed by a great crash of Thunder. The rain came shortly after, and boy oh boy did it rain. We tried to book it back, but we had completely lost our path. We stumbled through the forest, desperate for any sign of civilization, all while drenched, soaked to the bone. We cursed, we prayed, we ran, we frantically searched for the lights of the parking lot. We were almost to the point of saying "fuck it, I don't care if we die out here". Suddenly we say the lights, the beautiful fucking lights. The were so pretty. We ran. Barreling through thornbushes, heavy thickets, and vines; we didn't care what happened. As we ran to the car, I think I almost started to believe in god. Never again was I going to trust my buddy when he days something will be fun. We threw our gear in the car and drove home,thankful that we were alive. At home, we emptied out our waterlogged boots, and stripped out of our gear. We had grabbed taco bell on the way back, so now I'm munching on a quesorito while wearing a t-shirt and no pants. Life is good again. Life is good with no soggy pants.
