Dude, you can't blame the cop for thinking you were a pervo-supremo taking photos of a minor on her way to womanhood in a dunk-tank at a fair.

You know what happens to your nipples when you're soaking wet and cold and you know what happens to your bathing suit when you drop into water from a higher perch. It jams right up your crack like anal floss. These quite natural occurrences, coupled with the fact it's a sixteen year old girl, make you look like a sicko. Not that you're a pervert or anything but nobody else knows that.

"Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?"
"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

The cop had a face like a bull dog. I had just got a Canon pro body and was hot to see what it could captured. With a 70-200 f/2.8 on it, I wasn't exactly hiding. Wanted to nail that dumb ass look of surprise on her face just as she started to drop. After a minute I realized it was unlikely and I was missing keepers elsewhere. She wasn't all that much anyway even in a bikini, the dumb little runt

She's the one that dropped the dime, and told bull dog I had raped her with my cam, lol, not!
Prolly bruised her ego even more... she wasn't worth even one shot. Cost me about an hour of time.

If you know it's not a keeper, don't hit the release...

A few years back I was at a fair and there was some dumpy-ass, middle aged, greasy, white trash, piece-of-shit asshole guy yelling and cursing at me to knock him in the dunktank. He singled out my Sabbath t-shirt and long hair and ran me over verbally with his shtick.

First ball, right in the goddamned tank with that fuckwad. It was as fucking windy as Nova Scotia that day too. Fuck him. Don't tell me Ozzy sucks, broke-ass Carny asswipe motherfucker.

Having integrity in the way you conduct yourself, being honest and respectful goes a long way when dealing with LEOs. It makes their job easier. A good LEO never likes to bust a good guy... listen to what they are saying, then put yourself in their shoes. Compliance or not, to their commands will determine much to how they handle many situations both physically and legally.

Thank you for that, I really look up to your advice. It really eases me when there is someone who has had a lot of experience that will take the time to explain what they have done for themselves in a certain situation. I shall take it to heart in the years to come as I explore, seriously appreciated!

No situation is the same as with LEOs. Laws vary from state to state. Try to know and understand the trespassing and B&E in the state your exploring in. If arrested as well at with initial contact be compliant and do exactly what the officer asks. Be patient. How you react sets the tone and coarse to how they respond; easy come, easy go.

Once after being handcuffed to a bench for 2 hours not saying anything unless spoken to and not squirming around they finally told me the deal. They could have held me overnight, but cut me slack and released me on my own recognizance. They told me I was the most compliant prisoner they ever had. That made the difference. Initially they were fuming, but as they pieced together the facts plus me not adding fuel to the fire, they calmed down. That also got me a 45 minute talk with the Chief who reviewed my images and saw I was doing exactly what I told them. He even complimented me on the images. Had I shot any neighborhood houses his handling of the situation would have different... I was shooting the Nike base. They were concerned I was at first armed with a rifle from reports stemming from two kids seeing my tripod. Then they suspected me than of being a burglar casing houses. Who would hike 2 miles through fields, tree lines, and poison ivy to shoot an old Nike base? Me... I even had warned them about the poison ivy on my pants and gear. They didn't listen, oops

If things go south with patrolman, talk to the police chief or barracks LT in a friendly, calm but concise manner if you believe you didn't get a fair shake. They work hand in hand with the DA's office and can help you out if they want to. Remember they deal with people everyday, being friendly, not being defensive when talking with them can go a long. Getting all charges dropped isn't always the goal; getting them downgraded is, especially if they're felony.
