My anticipated trip to Mortimer, NC was ultimately a bust.
The purported ghost town seems to be little more than a hot-spot for rich folk and their summer homes, and poor folk and their days at the nearby creek's beach.
The centerpiece to my trip, a purportedly intact mill-of-some-kind, was little more than a stone foundation with ivy-covered stone pillars, filled with potentially snake-infested shrubs. Boo.
I imagine this mill is in the Full-Member-Only LDB; it shouldn't be.
Fortunately, I spotted a quaint little house on my drive back. I tried to squeeze every pixel out of the damn place.
Hopefully, my photography makes up for the lack of material. It probably doesn't.
