One other relic I found in Craig (a reservation town) was on an overgrown trailer outside a sewage treatment plant:
At first glance, it's an Indian canoe--tourist bait. But it's not a dugout. It's made out of plywood, and it has a door cut in one side. A local explained to me that it was a parade float. Tribal elders used to ride in it during the town's annual Fourth of July parade. Ironic when you think about it; maybe that's why they abandoned it.
