Void diver is mad because he didn't get what he wanted. All we mentioned was how a friend of ours was caught leaving the place and y'all start going way off topic. 💄. Boys just behave and leave it alone ✌🏼💞💄

A perfect example of what you want UER to become maybe?

I appreciate the feedback from all the members that called him out. This was a previously banned member that sneaked back and he didn't even have the balls to ask Av for forgiveness and agree to fly right. He probably would have got it.

I don't know about anyone else but I much prefer to read the forum minus all the shit stirring and drama and smart-assed remarks even if the pictures are sideways lol !

The vetting process should be more transparent and the recommendation process should be carried out in the view of other full members. Myself and some other long timers are getting concerned with the interpretation of the meaning of "exploration" getting stretched out too generously.

Two408wonderers tried to falsely assume new identity as MountainManDan. Shouldn't it concern us a bit that people who look the other way on this stuff is allowed to get FM here?

I'm not sayin you give benefit of doubt to people showing tendency of guiding people who can't leave locations alone.

I actually completely comprehend what you mean about stretching the idea of what "exploring" is. Is it really exploring if you are directly guided to a location & didn't put any effort into finding it yourself? It's very debatable & maybe reasonable that you can call me out like that. But what I do is that I never brought negativity to this forum like that couple did.

We see you had previous interactions with him and you guys have met in person. This develops a fair guess you knew "my friend MountainManDan" was actually Two408Wonderers. Am I wrong?

Thanks to my friend MountainManDan for this one!

https://www.uer.ca...id=1&msgid=1824739

https://www.uer.ca...id=1&msgid=1851245
MountainManDan = Two408Wonderers

My meaning of stretching the meaning of exploration is reasoning "they are explorers too" and recommending someone who is or have good reason to believe he knowingly share information with "Vandals, graffiti artists, taggers, scrappers, arsonists".

Not to intrude, but I think it's okay to help fellow explorers out with locations in private messages or something, but maybe not post the locations publicly.
It makes sense if people want to meet or get to know an explorer first before helping with locations.

Not when you have a feeling the he won't leave the location in the same conditions after his arrival or he'll leak it to someone who won't.

Yeah, that's a true concern.
I think we can relax, though--just because someone talked to the banned member doesn't mean they did anything wrong. Probably were just trying to be nice and learn about new locations.

edit: added a comment.

Trust is everything.
Really at first you should find your own spots; it's not that hard. Learn by doing.

I never asked for info until I was well established here and even then it was more often curiosity about a site rather than wanting/needing access.
Most times I do myself... it's more fun that way.

Eventually FMs will ask you to join them if they feel you can be trusted and want your company.
Personally I hate being bum rushed; it perks my ears straight up every time.
PMs are best used to establish a rapport and build trust from there.
Many explorers have their own favorite spots that they vested a lot of their time and luck in.
You can't blame them for being cautious if they wish to be about sharing info.
Just be content with the fact that they were kind enough to share the pics...

Wait if the Two408Wonders account wasn't PBed....why does he keep making other accounts and they get banned? Why doesn't he use his old account? Something isn't adding up to me lol

He closed* his account. Then rather than asking Av to please reopen it, he just created dup accounts, etc.

*At that time he wasn't doing very well here and threw a hissing fit, puking all other himself.
How n00bie of him.

Yeah, I have found small sites on my own without help--especially in or near my town in SoCal. Don't mean to bother anyone.
I guess it's just nice to have help once in a while. And to meet other people to go exploring with.

Any FM I have PM'd on the matter knows that I knew about the change. They did not initially tell me however, I had to approach them and say 'hey, i noticed these similarities, am I crazy?'. Could I have informed mods right then? Sure. But I didn't. And sure enough y'all found out very shortly afterwords regardless. If I'm under fire for that sole reason, so be it. But everyone who I've talked about it up to this point has been understanding.

two408 was the very first person I met up with on this site. He was very helpful in the sense that I was 100% new to this, and they had been in the game for a while. Around the same time they got banned for the second time, they informed me that they messed with spray paint. So really I had no information to share with a vandal, instead, a vandal had a whole lot of information to share with me. I was a noob. A couple weeks later, I got a goodbye text saying that they were moving out of California. That would have been fall of last year. There was no interaction after that. So no, I heard nothing of the acme_recycling return. I don't think 'guilty by association' should apply here.

@ all other aspiring basic members whom we would love to see upgraded to FM:

The whole point of being upgraded to FM is proving to the community that you can be trusted not to destroy places or bring unwanted people into locations that others have added to the DB or posted in PRIVATE threads that basic members cannot read.

I think that part of the point Deuterium is trying to make is that when someone is upgraded to FM status they are expected to keep "the other side of UER" a secret and not share it with basic members.

I will say this: it takes very little effort to become a FM now. It wasn't always like that. People cared a lot more before and most of us had to wait much longer, the vetting process was a lot more secure and worthwhile. Now you can come in here and post pics of a graffiti covered drain and you'll be whisked away to FM-land within a month.

I've been here 6 years and most of the other guys who are still posting on occasions have been here much much longer. Do you know why these abandonments are still here to enjoy? Its because MOST Full Members have protected them as best we can over the years for a new generation of people to enjoy. In fact literally no effort or research is necessary anymore because 80% of whats been posted on UER are places that have already been found and passed on.

I also think that if 408 wanted to come back, like 2xplorations stated, all they'd have to do is ask Av-X and state their case. If and when they do come back, they will never receive any help from me.

Just be careful with who you choose to associate with and be friends with on here. On UER you can truly be guilty by association.

If anyone has a problem with this post, b/c I'm sure someone will think these are words from a warfighter, PM me. Or PM a mod

I agree with preserving the sites and not revealing locations after trust has been ensured, yes.
Just meant helping after trust has been established. Sorry
