This is from late last summer. My GF and I were heading to a somewhat well-known recreation area when we turned down the wrong dirt road and came across this place.

12. A pumphouse and swingset


I found some info on the web. Served as a stagestop, school, and residence. It's also listed on the NRHP. Some old survey photos showed it was occupied at least into the 1980s and some outbuidings and a barn that are no longer there

Nice find! I wish it was a little less trashed, it definitely looks a lot better on the outside!

Edit: I'm also surprised those stairs are intact.
