TunnelRunner33 and I are planning a M&G in Seattle. We haven't yet decided on a time or place. This will be a chance for people who've only met online to shake hands, and for everyone in the community to get to know each other better. We don't plan on guiding any explores that day, tho you never know what may happen when like-minded people hook up.

If you're interested in attending, let us know. If there are times and/or places that would work better for you (or worse for you), let us know that too. Hope to see you there!

Usually Sunday or Monday I have off, but if I'm working swing on Saturday I could meet for lunch.

Don't plan around me, we all know how weird my schedule is, but if it's on a day I can go, I will try my best!

If it's late enough I can show up almost any day. Would be nice to meet some new people in Seattle.

Melding the input, I came up with this Saturday at noon. The event is here, http://www.uer.ca/...nt.asp?eventid=783 . If you'll RSVP, I can alert Zeek's to have a table (and a pizza?) of the appropriate size.

If this isn't a good day or time for you, don't despair. About January, we'll do another one on a different day. 8)

I wanted to say: I know we've had a couple of contentious days on the PNW boards recently, but this M&G is publicly posted and all are welcome. I just ask that all parties involved (myself included) come with an open mind and a willingness to engage in friendly conversation.

I think a lot of that stuff was caused by miscommunication, and that if people could sit down face to face and spend some time together, we could understand each other a lot better.

That's not to say we need to dredge all of that up again; in my opinion we should focus on looking forward.

Hoping to meet some new folks!

Spoon and I are not deterred. We will be there. I will need to nap at some point.

This turned out to be a lot of fun. I met one explorer I've been hoping to link up for a while, one interested new person, and the rest were all friends. I got to show off my secret spot to a few interested folks. A few of us ran around downtown afterwards for several hours, at which point I went home and started applying vaporub for a cold and sore throat that had started kicking in. When I left there were still four intrepid explorers, headed off on another adventure; I later heard they had fun and did well.

It truly was a blast! Thanks to all that attended, we will probably have another one in January. Thanks to Ganesha for starting it up and Se7en for sharing a lot of valid advice with me, I learned a lot for one day.

EDIT: I dun't spel so gud!

It was pretty awesome up until the homeless people having sex like 4 feet away from my head. I will park in a less sketchy parking garage next time, or not all the way in the back corner lol.
