The next meet and greet is April, 24th at 7:00pm for anyone interested in meeting others. This has been a great resource in getting to meet veterans and new faces alike. I will be there, my beautiful beard and hair will be there. You should be there too.

I actually think that dead end isn't that big a deal. If the night was warmer, I feel like we could have scaled that low wall and gotten a little wet without any problem. I'm more interested in that tunnel that goes to the fountain than I am in any of the other ones.

So that tunnel with the waterfall...goes to the fountain too. But around another way. Also the wall is 5 ft tall. I don't know about YOU but that's 90% of my height and it's wet and slippery. nothing sounds like quicker busted teeth than that.

That being said, I think we can just get something and get over it. Like standing on it. I'm literally completely unconcerned with that.

I suppose that's true, I forget about the height difference sometimes. :p

We'll figure out a way.

Well, we certainly need a place. I can grab one from out of a hat, but I'd like some selections from other folks, too. If anyone can think of anything cool in their own neck of the woods, we can move this around somewhat. I'd like to keep it as close to the 610 loop as possible, just to be central to the Houston area, but there are plenty of options there.

Well...
If I can put in my two cents,

I think we should meet at a bar! We've done the whole eat/meet/greet thing! (Lol) But I think we should find a bar and then go explore!

Well, the exploration part is, as always, an "after the meet-and-greet" thing, but it'd be great to start thinking about that as well. Since we're getting past the two-week time, I'd like to get some idea of where we'll meet initially.

What do you guys think about D&T Drive Inn? It's got damn good food, and it's a beer house (though I don't think they have liquor), so there's great beer there. It also has pretty reasonable parking nearby. It's located at 1307 Enid St in the Heights if anybody wants to take a look on Google Maps.

Also, I am not aware of any locations near this place, so if anybody has a good spot they know they want to explore, let's see if we can find a bar/eatery near that instead, to save confusion. ;p

This place has amazing food and beer on tap. I'll go ahead and second this location. If we want to explore after, we can always carpool or have a meetup spot near the location shared during the meet and greet. Hopefully I do not run into my ex-girlfriend; she is a regular there.

Yay! Finally a reasonable use for my respirator!

It's a shame Astro won't be there, we'd have both of those well covered.
