I rarely do. Occasionally if i feel the place is sketchy I'll carry a pocket knife, but that is about it. I figure if I ever run into trouble, most buildings have enough debris like wood a pipes laying around for me to pick up and defend myself.

They have only recently started scrapping the place and I have been trying to defend it as it's a super rad hang out spot 2 blocks from where i work. It has working electricity and AC in the penthouse where i slept last night, so i'm dead set on preserving that. During the night i woke several times to unknown sounds. Even though i had locked all the doors I wished i had at least something to defend myself should the imminent horde breach my defenses. The OP's spiked club is not far from what i plan on equipping myself with from now on.

I haven't found the need for a weapon, and all I even own that could be considered a weapon is a 3.5" knife.

If I owned a firearm and a concealed carry, I probably wouldn't carry my gun on explores because I'd be afraid it would not help my case if caught.

I've carried knives since I was young being from the armpit of oklahoma they're handy for a lot. My grandpa bought me a real italian stiletto switchblade, and I won't lie I carried it a lot just cuz it was kickass...till I saw party lights in an old building. Needless to say I don't have my kickass switchblade anymore. I normally just have thin leather gloves. They can gash a face up if it comes to it.

I respect your right to carry a firearm but I've been around for close to half a century and I've never needed one. I've owned them in the past, but I haven't played with one in well over twenty years. I never carried one in public either, and I've taken the fucking bus to the badlands to purchase various questionable party supplies of various questionable legalities and walked around those neighborhoods a RIDICULOUS amount of times.

I wish I felt that confident and safe. I don't even feel that safe walking to campus here. Every week my college sends us an email documenting the burglaries, assaults, sexual assaults, and break-ins that occur on or around campus. I've already had by car broken into twice while in campus lots. I wish the university would just buy up all the surrounding homeowners and properties and gentrify the fuck out of it. That's daily life, and not even exploring. Though I still don't carry weapons when exploring. I figure if I'm doing it right, nobody sees me.

That said, that's a fucking AWESOME revolver, Soldat. What's the make? I never liked semi-autos like Glock 9's or U.S. Army issue 45's. I'm a revolver appreciator. I had a Taurus .357 and it was more fun than inhaling whipped-cream gas at the supermarket. It was blued but had really light tan wooden grips that contrasted sharply with the color of the steel. Whenever I went to the range I would buy .38 special supers reloads at the counter and saved big $$$, but if you didn't know about the transition when fresh .357 loads were slapped in the cylinder, it'd catch you by surprise.

Its a Colt Police Positive Special, so its a .38. I favor that over my 1911 usually because of the weight and size, but I carry a small 1903 in .32acp in the summer when conceability is a concern.

I rarely ever carry in buildings, but just walking around shooting the street. I like insurance on my gear when I am walking around blatantly carrying it.
