Posted by Mr. D Ralter Think security is tight?
I drove by once with a friend a couple months ago, and to our surprise we saw the Candlestick all lit up. We asked a security guard nearby why the stadium lights were on, he explained that an "urban shield" police training was taking place right there. Good thing we didn't infiltrate it during a cop meetup! But otherwise, I think it's possible ;)

Demolition is actively taking place. Large backhoes and bulldozers were recently mobilized to the parking lot, security was beefed up, new jersey barriers/k-rail in the parking lot showed up etc. We saw a lot of activity on Halloween night of all times, with guys loading multiple ambulance gurneys and various other equipment into the back of a truck late at night. This seemed very strange activity for Halloween night... Security or construction guys had a dog as well. Crazy construction guy was driving very fast through the parking lot and behind fences... Use caution. -free

Here's a pic from our trip to Candlestick.
After some research trips and a hair-brain failed attempt, continued motivation and help from friends (you know who you are), it all worked out. That light pole sure did move around a lot.

Here's the Behind the City episode on Candlestick Park:
Thanks to Phobia for shooting the video, editing, running audio, post production and for putting up us while sticking a camera in our face. I can barely stand being filmed, but in the end it's worth it when you get to watch the episode.
