Best abandoned school in the Northeast < on 7/12/2014 1:39 AM > | Reply with Quote
This was a middle school in MA. It stood abandoned for many years but in 2014 there was a fire that destroyed most of the structure. It has since been demolished. It was a beautiful building in a really shitty neighborhood. I was actually a little nervous going in. Despite the neighborhood, it was untouched by vandals.
For some reason, not too many explorers ever tried it.

These really are fantastic photographs. I can almost feel the space. The lighting and color makes the first few unforgettable. Looks like a great location that was in oddly good shape. It's a shame it's gone.

This area isn't *horrible* really. Kind of rough, I guess. I used to drive past this school all the time when I lived in a neighboring city and always was a little curious, but assumed that it was alarmed because of the type of area it was located in. Shame to hear it's been demolished. They could have turned it into some decent housing for the lower income residents of the area.
Edit: I just looked at the most recent Google streetview and damn. The last time I drove past here was probably in 2008 when they were still maintaining the lawn and all that.
