I can't figure out this damn embed deal... if anyone else can tell me exactly how to do it, I'd appreciate it!

Hi J_D

I'm keen to see more of your adventures. No disrespect meant at all - I would just get a whole lot more out of the experience of watching your videos if you edited out the walking-around-in-the-dark parts. Personally, I can't sit through more than a minute of that tops. Call that a character failing if you like lol. Keep making vids man!

No offense taken at all! I really appreciate the feedback, actually. Im still really new at this and still learning. I feel like I get better with every episode, but ive still got a ways to go. It would help if I knew what I was doing right as well as what i need to improve on. :p

That's the way! As for what you're already doing right, for starters you're making video. So few of us are. Your titles are looking good. We've got the potential to craft and tell a story with video. The simplest way of editing is keeping it linear: you arrive, you experience, you leave. Your explore followed a storyline, and so your edit already does. Most of the movement from A to B to C can be edited out, so long as the whole makes sense and everything that was compelling to see is in your edit. I think as you do it more, you'll start imagining in the explore how you'll edit later, and this will guide you to make more than one attempt at a scene when you realise you didn't quite capture it first time the way it needs to be in the edit. If you make sure at every moment the viewer is finding out something valuable about the location, or about you as an explorer, then your video will be compelling to watch.

I'm not a fan of spiders... I recall a time I was in an abandoned house on the back porch. I sat down on a table waiting for a buddy of mine to come out and I felt something hit my hand with a good force. When I looked a spider the size of a quarter jumped from the roof and landed on my hand and was now crawling around.

Made my skin crawl.
