A friend in need...

Well, at least today was interesting.

I started my day by going to the dentist, and later had it made even more fun when my best friend told me that he has until saturday to move out from his place due to what I'll call 'subtle parental influenece'.

We talked for several hours today, and the conclusion is basically that his family is the most dysfunctional I've ever heard of. The other problem is that my friend has fairly bad depression sometimes, and so this event hasn't exactly made him more positive.

I'm going to hang out with him tomorrow and see if his parents have perhaps rethought their decision. If not, I'm going to talk to my mother and see if he can't stay here until he gets back on his feet. What exactly that entails I'm not sure yet, but it really doesn't matter that much to me. I guess it basically comes down to the fact that we're friends, and I'm not going to let him turn to the streets. Or to do anything as desperate as to try and end his life, because I have a feeling that if he didn't have friends, he wouldn't be here anymore.

He's on antidepressants at least, so I know he hopefully won't get too unstable. I don't have many friends in this world, and I'm not going to let one go without a fight.
