Abandoned garbage facility

I found an abandoned garbage/landfill facility that was leftover from when they closed the landfill. People have been here before because of the graffiti, but I don't know if any/many explorers have. There is no easy path to these buildings and the land around them is completely overgrown. It's a cluster of two small buildings. The first one is round and composed entirely of concrete. The second one is a smaller, more normal shaped building with some windows. It looks like there was also a third one at some point, but it either collapsed or was destroyed.

1.

The first of the two remaining buildings only had this one door. It led into a small room that didn't go anywhere.

2.

This small room only had these pipes. The flooring was a metal grate with ~15ft between it and the bottom of the room. I didn't care to test how strong that rusty metal was.

After leaving this small room, we climbed a solid ladder onto the roof of the building. There were a few entrances through the concrete roof. Looking down into one of them, I saw that there was a 30ft drop to the bottom. A rusted ladder with rungs missing on the inside wall of the building meant that I wouldn't take the risk of exploring further into this building.

3.

This machinery was left in the collapsed remains of another building that accompanied the two I explored. No idea what it was for.

4.

It was a good bit more difficult to get to through all the brush and vegetation that has grown up around the second building.

This is the most prominent graffiti that was painted in the building. There aren't many other signs that anyone has been here other than this. All of the graffiti has '09 sprayed on it, so I'm guessing there haven't been many/any people through here since.

5.

The downstairs door of the second building. This building was only around 50ftx150ft (guesstimate) with a small area at the upper ground level and a larger downstairs area that is at ground level lower on the hill.

6.

I couldn't find any markings as to what this used to contain. There was also a lot of broken glass on the floor that I had to be careful around. It wasn't from beer bottles or alcohol of any kind and it was oddly shaped/textured. This leads me to believe that the glass is from warning lights or machinery.

I've also got a panorama of the inside of building #2, but I'm still editing the large file. Since I didn't get to see too far into building #1, I plan to go back with some rope, tie my gopro and a flashlight to it, and lower it into the entrance through the roof.

I don't like graffiti, but your B&W photo for 5 is artsy. I like it.
