| A sixth sense or just good luck? entry by Vigilante 7/19/2004 3:21 AM
| As a background to the story, I do quite a bit of racing. The funny part is that I drive a 1992 Toyota Tercel with a modified intake, and yet the funnier part is that I beat most of the people I race. I haven't and don't plan to modify the externals of my car as I just can't justify looking like another piece of shit ricer. Anyway, I've had my car for over a year now, and I have no speeding tickets, or anything else for that matter. The strange reason for this is that I have a weird sixth sense for cops, especially speed traps. For example, as I was coming home last night along Coxmill at a rather late hour, I noticed some tail lights in the distance and my brain suddenly said "holy shit A, that's a cop". I slowed down from my reckless speed of 90 down to 50 and sure enough, it was a cop. Take into account that I wear glasses so my vision isn't terribly good, and it makes you wonder how the hell I knew it was a cop. My car has unofficially been named the suncrusher because I beat any and all sunfires that I've raced. Life is sweet. I've been wondering whether my elite cop detecting skills apply to UE, but I'm not sure as I haven't run into any yet during my travels. Come to think of it, I'd probably rather not try that theory...
