Founded by Jay Skaggs, the park featured a rollercoaster, a mad mouse, and several other attractions. Due to rising costs, the park closed in 2003, but is still used for special events, including a haunted house event each Halloween called "Dr. Evil's House of Horrors."

The site is now used for a summer camp and is considered private property. All that is left of the site is a go kart track, part of the Mad Mouse roller coaster and what looks to be a haunted house/slide.1.

Rad little spot!

Did you get access to any of the buildings?

Thanks! There was really only one building we could enter and it had a bunch of different go-kart parts and the sort. It was pretty much the only building still standing and the tracks were barely there. But still fun! Up until some local dogs seemed to try to scare us off but once we got deeper in they didn't bother us.

I heard it's still owned but no one shooed us off. There WAS a sign that we didn't see until after we explored the area that said "Keep off or you will be asked to leave" (better than being shot at, for sure), but again no one bothered to say anything and we were being pretty noisy.

I wish every site that sign.

Same. It's nicer and way less terrifying than being threatened by a dog, gun, or the cops.

Ha! Probably. There was also a weeping angel, but overall it wasn't as creepy as it used to be. I've seen pictures before some stuff was taken out.

I agree, but it also depends on the dog. We came across a big, black dog with literal red eyes and we're pretty sure if we got close to it it would have torn off our hands.

Glad to see you back Flashy.
We hit jays up once when there was an Airsoft event ( and way more structures) then last summer and it was set up like a haunted maze but also some sort of campground. Lotsa blackberries too
Did you notice the mini golf spot across the street? They filmed a medicine commercial there haha! Recognized the dinosaur.
Will post pics later. Thanks!

Thanks, B&C! It's good to be back.

Oooo that sounds fun! I wish I had known about that. Airsofting is amazing. So far there was a lot of camp stuff that looks like it belongs from some cheesy, 80s summer camp movie but other than that it was still interesting to check out.

The more you know! We did notice it and my roommate and I wanted to go back and check that out just for giggles. We love that kind of stuff. I almost crashed the car when I saw it.

Sure thing! I can't wait to see what you post!

Lol, I wish there were more signs like that in SoCal... You see, we know a location is good when there is razor wire, security cameras and guards.

I know of a location in AZ, where the caretaker (an elderly woman) is known to walk around the premise with a rifle. #nobiggie

That...sounds like fun. I'm originally from Orange County, CA and was new to UE up until I moved to NorCal. I heard of an abandoned mini golf course in Huntington Beach I want to hit up if I'm ever back down there. You should check it out.

Looks good! The pool like thing wasn't there when we checked it out, it seemed as though there were more things to explore back in July than what the site has to offer now.

I had the same thought. That or the weeping angel. That was scary. But everything about the sign was hilarious.
