Multi-Mode Flashlight to Single Mode Mod?

Seems like virtually ALL flashlights of any power these days - at least the ones at dx.com - come with these stupid multi-mode setups, where each time you click, you get a different "mode".

<click> full power....<click> 1/2 power...<click> strobe mode...<click> some other damn useless mode...and so on.

Does anyone know generally how one might set about to mod these back to single click, full power mode?

Oh, god, I hate those flashlights!

"Oh no, security is coming! Let's all turn off our flashlights! Oops, now we're having a strobe party..."

I just had one of my $30 3000 lumen lights stop working the other night. Never dropped, no leaky batteries. I'm pretty sure I won't buy one from DX again. Except those $3 ones that are so bright.

I have a 47'sAA, as a plumber,
At first I didn't like all the stupid annoying modes but now, I like them for did reasons.
in a dark basement full power(115)is good,
under a sink med(60) used for 1/2-1hr mode is good.
Trekking on a dark trail at night on low or moon light is good!
I have a 47's AA best light ever!
115 lumens 1hr+
60 lumens 8hrs+
25 lumens 24hrs+
10 lumens 60hrs+
Moon light mode (?lumens) the book says 52 days??
It also has SOS mode and Strob or "galactic seasure mode"!

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!
