Halloween Costume Stuff

I have a journal now.

There is nothing more annoying than having a Halloween costume planned out and then realizing that due to a lack of money and time, there's no way that I can buy the fabric and have the costume made by Halloween, especially when I have homework and other life-related stuff to work on.

I was more than ready to make a slightly simplified version of the Civil War-era dresses that I bought patterns for because no one seems to know or care than women in the 1860s didn't constantly go around wearing fancy ball gowns. You'd think that they'd make plainer dress patterns in case someone wanted to dress up as a middle-class woman or a woman who took care of the soldiers on either side. Let's also not forget about the Union nurses and Dorothea Dix, who was very strict when it came to the clothes of the nurses that she hired. I'll get into that in a future entry.

I was planning on dressing up as Dorothea Dix, if anyone was wondering. I have 3 other costume options because I tend to save my costumes in case I decide to wear them again in the future. I'll end up dressing up as either a witch, a Roman, or a Victorian princess.

So, yeah. I should probably write an entry about myself, but I don't feel like it right now.
