Back East again we went to revisit an old friend. This go I spent most of my time mucking about in the dank dark cool basements to escape the oppressive heat and humidity, not to mention the many thousands of hornet nests this place is crawling with. Lost myself wandering alone through the corridors and rooms while the rest of the group explored above. Down here this place really feels as old as it actually is. My favorite part of the building, I could wander for days. I threw out some shots from a previous visit just to round things out a bit, sorry if its too pic heavy. Again we had to leave too soon.

very nice!

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

I think you're right about the basement (in terms of cool temperature, and labyrinthine interest); it's where I'd have been, too.

Especially enjoyed 7, 16, and 30.

Congrats on the explore. Last time I was there I was run off right away by the security.

Very nice. Did you run into the buzzard? I wondered if he/she was still around.

Think you of the fact that a deaf person cannot hear. Then, what deafness may we not all possess? What senses do we lack that we cannot see and cannot hear another world all around us?

Same thing happened to me as well. I'm glad I got my pics from a previous trip as this place is one of my favorite explores.

Great shots, thanks for posting them!

Never got a chance to see those brick arches before. Maybe the next time I go back I won't be chased off by authorities. Great sets both.
