So Long West Point

In before the burn. It was a little nerve wracking being in a building while the bulldozers are actually knocking it down. The thing that really gets me though is the storage building full of REALLY cool stuff that was being salvaged during the demo was probably also lost as well. At least we got to see what was left while we could.

Nice shots, Once-ler. It was a fun explore. Definitely sad to see it go that way.

Thanks Andy, the place was going to be gone one way or another, it just happened faster this way. It sucks now I just realized that I have a bunch of shots that could have come out REALLY well but were kinda off just a bit and now there will never be a chance to go back and reshoot any of them.

That's the way it goes, most of the time, and how i feel about the Phenix City hospital. This place was cool, but the 'other' mill not too far away has better texture. I was amazed at the size of the West Point Stevens mill when Andy, Brian P., Marie and i went in last year.

I also wonder what was in all those barrels. Back in January of this year, there was a news article about the demo crew causing some sort of chemical spill which the owner(s) of the mill got fined for. Then they 'accidentally' hit a gas line and it burnt down. hmmmmmm
