First new journal post...
entry by Jester
6/29/2004 5:09 PM

Hadn't actually checked out the new journal system, had been too busy lately. Now I have to decide if i'm energetic enough to copy and paste the old entries into here... hmmm, not right now.

Ok, how about something Ue related.

It's nice to finally have some other enthusiastic explorers in the area, since previously it seemed it was just us Wraiths. Viper, Wolfman, and Charlie have all turned out to be great people as well as great explorers. And they have ethics (it is not possible for me to get through a post without bringing up ethics in some way). But it's nice to see others with the same views.

How about those motion detectors eh ? I've gotta say i'm getting sick of closed down places with motion detectors. Can't a guy take a walk in a closed down hospital and get a couple of pictures anymore ? What is this world coming to ? Fences and 24 hour security isn't enough anymore I guess...

Oh, and I've been testing out a Canon elph100 digital cam, it's smaller than the A series I had that was stolen, but the features are quite similar, including the 15 second exposures (which, comparing to Pixie's A60, the Elph came out brighter/better). I bought it at costco because they have the worlds most lenient return policy. I could return it in a year after dropping it in a toilet and they'd still just take it back and give a full refund. I figure that's the kind of return policy an urban explorer can use...

And once again, thank you all who donated to get my camera replaced... It was an unbelievable gesture and I truly am grateful.

Is this for real?

"You're a catastrophe... On your watch we've lost almost all of our allies, the budget surplus, four airliners, two trade centers, a piece of the Pentagon and the city of New Orleans. Maybe your just not lucky. I'm not saying you don't love this country. I'm just wondering how much worse it could be if you were on the other side. Yes, God does speak to you. And he's saying: Take a hint." B. Maher

They've made their return policy a bit more stringent now, but for most things yes. Now, I think they put a limit on returns on digicams at 3 months or it has to go back to the manufacturer instead...

It requires wisdom to understand wisdom: the music is nothing if the audience is deaf.
