24th of June, 2004: UE-Community

To be honest...I'm starting to be really fed up with this so-called UE-community...I just wish it would be like before, just me & the camera and a hobby that I called Abandoned Places, but I guess there's no going back, not after a year on this forum.

The last straw was this Panic issue. I was already prepared to read about ten pages of mocking and comments about attention seeking, but to my surprise, most of the people seemed to really care what happens to Panic. Of course there are...again...those one who knows it better and in whose opinion, we should have done nothing, or at least we did everything wrongly, that you can think of. Sympathy and empathy, there's difference between those two and the only thing I really saw expressed by people, was empathy and that's good.

Perhaps it's not the UE-community, but some very huge ego's...

There's always some politics going on and I cannot stand it. I don't like gossips too much, especially if people expect me to base my opinions of people to every gossip that I hear.

I've said it before and let's write it down to this journal also: I couldn't care a less what god damn starts you have in your profile. You can have the idiot star or whatever and I'm still giving you a chance, until I've met you and can decide myself that are you a total moron or not. I do not base my opinions of people, how they write to some internet forums.

I'm just very tired and this Panic issue woke up some memories in my mind, that I thought I had handeled already and they were just memories. Apparently it's not so and I'm just very pissed and tired to everything currently.

It will be raining today, so there's no explorations today with my UE-community...the camera and tripod.

I guess I'll go and buy the Polish map today, as the trip is closing in fast. Also monopod would be nice for the journey...I just don't know is it really useful or not, but...

just a quick thought in terms of monopods - i have a lightweight hiking stick that converts into a monopod by simply unscrewing the top. it is pretty useful, given the dual purpose.

Since we seem to be talking hiking staffs and monopods, I have one for everyday use and it's worked very well for me. You can find details here if a combo staff/monopod interests you.
