When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

Though I don't agree with her wanting to remove people's rights to carry UNLOADED weapons... I think what she's talking about has to be realized in context.

"There's been a lot of people who have been shot by an unloaded gun"

That phrase usually refers to when someone says "don't worry it's fine it's unloaded", then the other person doesn't check, and pulls the trigger and kills someone accidentally.

Hence the common saying "treat all guns as though they're loaded all the time".

You could assume that because someone is open-carrying in Cali, and there is visibly no magazine, that the gun is "unloaded". But there could still be a bullet in the chamber, I believe is what she's saying.

Though, I think people should have the right to carry whether it's open-carried, concealed, and loaded or truly unloaded. I suppose she disagrees with me.

while i see what you are saying, and i can agreed that yes, shit happens. but unloaded guns dont just "go off". it take a round in the chamber, and someone to pull the trigger. pulling the trigger is not the way to check to see if a weapon is loaded, pulling the trigger is how you fire the gun.

this woman and others like here are telling lies. people believe this dribble because she a politician and on the news and that makes me sad.

guns dont kill people, people kill people. stupid people scare other people into thinking that guns are evil.

You're preaching to the choir bro, I got my first firearm when I was 9.

I just think she was paraphrasing, not saying that truly EMPTY guns ACTUALLY kill people.

But w/e, I still think she's an idiot, even if I do give her the benefit of the doubt about the way she said what she said.

My HK USP 40 is a var.3, it has this awesome safety. If you don't want the gun to shoot, you don't pull the trigger. Pretty high-tech huh?

**EDIT**

Oh hell, I just realized who I'm talking to, its YOU. With that realization I can see that trying to pose any kind of logical argument is a waste of time.
