Hey all,

I am thinking about getting a new light, and just wanted some input to see what y'all recommended.

The lights I've been looking at are as follows. If any of you have personal experience with these, let me know what you think of them!

1. Coast HP17 [615 Lumen]
http://www.coastpo...led-flashlight.htm

2. 4Sevens Quark 123 Turbo "X" [450 Lumen]
http://www.4sevens...7&products_id=2621

3. Streamlight Stinger LED [200 Lumen]
http://www.streaml...oduct.aspx?pid=171

I've owned Streamlights and Coast flashlights in the past, and they're really wear hardy. I've had my streamlight halogen stinger for coming up on 7 years, and it still runs like a champ.
Just wanted to see what you all thought about the choices I've narrowed down to.

Thanks!

-TheJ

Sounds fun! Let's go!

All solid choices. Check runtime graphs for the HP17, LEDLenser lights tend to be unregulated (Bright for a bit, dim for way longer). The Quark is the smallest, right? I like small. If you get the Quark, and want li-ion cells, get a "17670" protected cell to go with it so that you can save money.

Of those, I say go with the Quark - but I don't know what your needs are. Throw? Flood? Runtime? Output?

Yeah, I love the quarks. 4sevens have great customer service, too - I lost a part from one of my lights yesterday and they're shipping me a replacement part free of charge.

I think he owns two of everything from them. Maybe he is a product tester ? ;)

I've never been a fan of streamlights, they are just too expensive when compared to others like 4sevens or Fenix

Yeah I'm with Apple Snail on the Lenser's being unregulated. It's a shame too because they're pretty good otherwise. That quark looks good to me.
