I "found" some pictures that somehow got taken yesterday of what's left of Prestonwood Mall.

Pretty depressing, this was once a very nice mall.

Okay... I'm way glad that y'all are getting some pictures up, and they're of some pretty nice places. But keep in mind that you don't need to put every single picture you've taken into the DB. Particularly when you have two of the exact same shot, or ones that're blurry or entirely dark. It's inconsiderate to make Av host worthless bandwidth. It also tends to discourage people (well, me at least), to go to a new location and see 150 pictures to sort through -- it's too time consuming to sort out the interesting ones from the inane shots.

Just some unsolicited advice: Pick out your favorites, delete the rest.

why did they start to tear it down in the first place?

Man, I used to work at that mall. Back in '94 and '95. I had heard it was getting torn down. Oh well...Dallas only has like 5 other malls.

we used to watch the fireworks show on the 4th from the parking lot along with thousands of others, one time we wandered around in there looking for a restroom when there was like only one or two shops left and they had not started demolishing yet
