Yeah, I was wondering that too when I came across the gate! What was the corporation name out there? The concrete slab used to hold a building (Surprise) that used to be called 'hole in the wall' by some guys I know. Eventually, over time, the hole in its wall grew until the whole thing collapsed. Now, go south for a while. You'll reach an intersection with a giant hilarious X across it. Continue east. There are several paved roads that are being overgrown going north and south; I can't tell if they really hit anything. If you continue east, then follow around north, you'll enter an area with more similarly sized concrete buildings, some intact, some, well, less intact. Very bizarre! There are also remains of footings with steel tower pieces here and there. If you continue north you will eventually exit back onto the road you came to Chekika on. (Go to the south side of the pump station, as I recall.) There are also some roads going east and west from the area north of 237th ave. One goes WAY out west, and the remains of roads are visible on Google Earth. Access will probably be bicycle/foot only, and a path may be present from the Chekika park itself out into this area. One goes east into an area that's all overgrown and no structure is visible. This needs to be surveyed a bit more, I do believe... (edit: added mention of some of the other powerlines out there.)
