This particular mini golf is significant in that it was built and owned by the man who invented the spray concrete method of constructing outdoor statuary (he specialized in dinosaurs). In the 1950's, he built several of these golf courses, most notably in Marietta (Dilly Dally's), Gatlinburg (Goofy Golf) and Pigeon Forge TN, and Myrtle Beach SC (also Goofy Golf). He also built the Magic World theme park (now defunct) that was once a landmark on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge TN.
